UTG Tactical Rifle Case

I bought this case to hold my Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 .22LR AR clone. The case fits fine, even with optics and a vertical grip attached to the forend. The case is well padded with good quality zippers. The zipper has loops for a padlock so you can secure your weapon case. There are five magazine pockets on the outside, with hook-and-loop fasteners to secure the flap. With a rifle in the case you can only fit one magazine per pocket, but I’m not sure they were intended for double mags.

Overall, this is a great value for the money if you’re looking for an inexpensive, good quality case for your tactical rifle.

Well padded rifle bag that fits the AK-47 family with five outer magazine pockets.

The 38 inch version of this rifle bag fits the AK family quite well. Well padded and appointed with five outer magazine pockets, this rifle bag is recommended for the average shooter. The AK polymer mags fit fine and I am sure that the metal mags would slip right in even easier. The rifle bag is roomy enough for an AK to have a 30 round poly mag attached while bundled up inside. Upon addition of a scope, the bag gets a bit tight, but can still be closed with the entire rifle inside. The only thing that I was not too thrilled with is that the carrying strap is not made of a heavy duty canvas material, but as this bag is quite inexpensive, I can live with that. Do be aware that the zippers are large and metal and clink when moving around. I fixed the situation by using some digital McNett camo wrap on each. Overall, I am well satisfied with this bag for my weekly trips to the range, however I am not entirely convinced that the carry strap would hold up under a few seasons of hunting use. I would like to see UTG add a better carry strap in the future.

measure carefully ~37″ long internally

I bought this for my 16″ Mini-14 with muzzle brake. I thought that a 38″ rifle case would be for rifles up to 38″. Not so, as the internal dimensions are only 37″ max and just too short for my rifle. If the internal dimensions of the case were stated in the description I would have bought a longer case..
