Haven’t Been Sick Flying Since By Rob W. In the work and ministry I do, I fly a lot, especially into foreign countries. Most of those flights can last up to 12 hours or more, with the average around 7 hours. It was not unusual for me to come down with bronchitis after breathing in an airplane full of germs for that long. Don’t fool yourselves or buy the spiel that they give you. Do the research yourself.

PIECE OF CRAP!!! I bought the expensive model with the exhaust valve from the maker directly By tien tran Hi ALL…..just received the mask last night. Had to modify it immediately. I added two (2) additional tape/Velcro on each side of the carbon filter (next to each valve) to secure it to the fabric. THEY NEED TO add more Velcro…..The velcro they have at the top of the carbon filter are not enough to secure it. If you were to put on and take off the mask a few time, the carbon filter will slide to the sides. In addition, with additional velcros, the carbon filter will secure in place.
Also, I had to re-sew the tip of the fabric mask so that it doesn’t point straight out. The mask looks so pointy and it doesn’t flush with the carbon filter.
IMPORTANT: The valves are NOT secure to the holes in the carbon filter. THeir instruction said that press on it until you hear a snap. There is nothing to “snap” onto……. My father was right in requesting that there should be a plastic ring around the hole so that the valves can snap into them. When my father remove the mask, one of the valve did fell out!!!! If they don’t want to add additional plastic ring around the hole (due to budget cost), then they might want to redesign the valve…so that is situated BETWEEN the carbon filter and the fabric. This way IT WILL NOT FALL OUT.
Plastic adjuster is very flimsy and I feel that it can snap at any time. They need to use a standard square plastic adjuster (as seen on mask that you buy at Home Depot or Home improvement store).
My mask cost $35 US with $7.00S/H….WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Might as well go out to Home Improvement store and buy a CARBON Mask with exhaust valve for $5.00 only!!!

Too expensive and not as effective… By T. Narauskas The mask looks silver but its actually surgical white. It was put to the ultimate test during my travels to New Delhi, India and Kathmandu, Nepal. It was quite effective for dust (as any scarf would have been) and reduced the smoke from fires but not much effect against fumes like vehicle exhaust. The product is overpriced for what it actually does. In any case, I sure am glad I had it with me though as it would have been really rough without it. I thought it had a pretty good fit around my face but I really would have been better off if it was some beige color and had a better filtration system.
